The Growley Bear Lodge is located in the heart of the "town" of Gustavus, in Southeast Alaska, internationall known for being the "gateway" (the only way in and out aside from owning your own airplane or seaworthy boat) to the amazing, Glacier Bay National Park in Southeast Alaska.
The Growley Bear Lodge consists of a main lounge (dining and gathering area) and clean comfortable private guest rooms equipped with private bathrooms. Beautiful water and mountain views abound in every direction.
Our property is strategically located within 5 minutes walking distance from the Ferry and "town center". You'll find the Beartrack Mercantile (a place to shop for gifts, food, and supplies), the local hardwares store, and the baitshop. Also, within walking distance you can take a stroll on the beach and play the one and only Mt. Fairweather Golf Course. Don't feel like walking? No problem. We offer free shuttle service for our customers to their place of interest.
